Published 2:00pm ![]() NEW JERSEY - Governor Chris Christie has declared a State of Emergency as a late fall storm is blanketing New Jersey. Because the storm is expected to impede transportation and travel throughout the state, Christie authorized the State Director of Emergency Management to activate all county and municipal emergency operations and governmental agencies to respond to the snowstorm. The order empowers State Police, if necessary, to detour any road and to remove any parked or abandoned vehicles.
