The Watch is expected to be in effect until 8pm Monday evening. West Essex NOW will continue to monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible warnings. ![]() At 6:29pm Monday, the National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The Warning is expected to be in effect until 8:30pm tonight. The advisory was issued due to the forecast for heavy rains and the ensuing potential for flooding of small streams and roadways with clogged drains. ![]() At 3:58am Monday, the National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The Watch is expected to be in effect from noon today until late Tuesday evening. The advisory was issued due to the forecast for heavy rains and the ensuing potential for flooding of small streams and roadways with clogged drains. Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across the region ahead of a cold front this afternoon through late Tuesday night. West Essex NOW will continue to monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. ![]()
