The temperature went up to 78° on Thursday The current temperature is 79° FLASH FLOOD WARNING At 3:08pm Friday, the National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The Warning is expected to be in effect until 5pm. The advisory was issued due to the forecast for heavy rains and the ensuing potential for flooding of small streams. Most flood deaths occur in automobiles; drivers are cautioned not to drive a vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear; just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to sweep a vehicle off of the road.Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. During the flood stage, Eagle Rock Avenue in Roseland, along with Broadway Lane, Camp Lane Road, River Edge Drive, Stewart Place and Two Bridges Road in Fairfield are all subject to flooding. ![]()
