“Testies for Breasties” Fundraiser at Shillelagh Club, West Orange, to Raise Money for Breast Cancer Research; Saturday, Sept. 27, 8pm
WEST ORANGE, NJ - On Saturday, Sept. 27, from 8 p.m. until closing, the Shillelagh Club in West Orange will be the site of a benefit to raise money in support of breast cancer research, cure and prevention. Organized by Livingston residents Chris Wightman, a testicular cancer survivor, and Michael Tevlin, whose wife is a breast cancer survivor, “Testies for Breasties” is on it’s fourth year of fundraising for the cause. The fundraiser will cost $30 a person and includes food, beverages and entertainment. The club is located at 648 Prospect Avenue, West Orange.
“Our commitment to the cause continues to grow.
Included in the admission price for those in attendance will be food, beer, wine, raffles and live entertainment by Mike Murphy.
In addition there will also be a Silent Auction with gift certificates to local restaurants, items from local stores and show tickets.
Avon Breast Cancer Walk
The following weekend, on Oct. 18 and 19, the men will join with family and friends to participate in the Avon Breast Cancer Walk through New York City. Their team will walk 39.3 miles over the course of two days in an effort to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Over the past three years, the group has raised over $35,000.
