New Jersey Audobon Offers Birding Hike through Hatfield Swamp in West Caldwell; Saturday, June 13; 8:30am to 11am
WEST CALDWELL, NJ - This weekend, New Jersey Audobon, based out of Cape May, is offering a Birding Hike through the Essex County Hatfield Swamp. Led by naturalist Dr. Dave Hall, the event takes place on Saturday, June 13, from 8:30am to 11am. Hikers will search for breeding birds in the wetland meadows and forests of the largely intact Essex County reservation. Participants are asked to meet in front of Stop & Shop, located at 875 Bloomfield Avenue in West Caldwell, and then carpool from there to the reservation.
Footing could be wet or muddy, depending on the weather.
