First Presbyterian Church Youth Choirs Present "Children of Eden," Friday through Sunday, May 1 to 3, 7:30pm; 326 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell
CALDWELL, NJ - This weekend the youth Westminster and Pilgrim Choirs of the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell will be presenting the musical "Children of Eden" in Fellowship Hall of the church located at 326 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell. The choirs have been rehearsing for six months, including a one week-long tour in Seattle, Washington and are excited to present their production to the community.
Based on the Book of Genesis and written by John Caird with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, "Children of Eden" is a two-act musical which offers a fun twist on the stories of Adam and Eve and Noah and the Flood. The themes of parent/child relationships resonate well with audiences, along with the bittersweet and inspiring message: “the hardest part of love… is letting go."
The musical will begin at 7:30pm every night:
“Being a part of the musical at First Pres is a unique and meaningful experience because our goal is not simply to put on an excellent show,”
The choir is under the musical direction and leadership of Barbara Piercy and her husband, Noel Piercy. The show is directed and choreographed by their daughter, Adriana. The cast includes:
