The blood drive will be administered by Community Blood Services and donors will need to supply their social security number on their initial visit or their blood donor ID number. Donors who provide their email address will receive an email in a few days which lists their blood type, glucose and cholesterol results. The free outdoor event will take place from 7pm to 9pm and will feature an evening of live music, a delicious Pie Bar, fresh donuts and cider, and a Corn Hole Tournament for adults and kids. Published 2:26pm ![]() WEST CALDWELL, NJ - This Saturday, the West Essex First Aid Squad will be welcoming a new ambulance, 772, with a traditional "Wetdown" at the squad building. Saturday's event runs from 5pm to 11pm and will include a large party with food and drinks along with music, a photo booth and dancing. The rescue squad building is located at 642 Bloomfield Avenue, West Caldwell. A wetdown is a ritual celebrated by many volunteer fire departments and rescue squads when a new truck is put into commission; the local firefighters spray it thoroughly with their equipment and neighboring towns join in the celebration.
