Published 12:36pm ![]() FAIRFIELD, NJ - This week, the Fairfield Public Library will be offering teens and older children an opportunity to gather together and volunteer to help the troops. All children, ages 8 and older, are welcome at the free event, "Give Back to Your Heroes," during which the children will put together Compassion Kits for deployed soldiers. The gathering takes place on Thursday, July 16, at 6pm at the library which is located at 261 Hollywood Avenue, Fairfield. Seeking Donations

All are welcome at the free event which takes place Saturday, June 13, from 1pm to 3pm. Filmed over 12 years with the same cast, Richard Linklater's "Boyhood" is a groundbreaking story of growing up as seen through the eyes of a child named Mason, who literally grows up on screen before our eyes. Starring Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette as Mason's parents and newcomer Lorelei Linklater as his sister Samantha, "Boyhood" includes snapshots of adolescence from road trips and family dinners to birthdays and graduations and all the moments in between become transcendent, set to a soundtrack spanning the years from Coldplay, the film is both a nostalgic time capsule of the recent past and an ode to growing up and parenting.
