Caldwell Running For a Cure Team Kickoff Meeting Thursday, Oct. 9, 6:30pm at the Cloverleaf10/5/2014
Published 11:13am CALDWELL, NJ - The Caldwell Running For a Cure Team (Team Caldwell R4C) is hosting an informational kickoff meeting on Thursday Oct. 9 at the Cloverleaf Tavern. Over the past six years, over 90 runners have joined with Team Caldwell R4C to complete a marathon, half-marathon or marathon relay and have raised almost $270,000 for blood cancer research. The free event will begin at 6:30pm and anyone over the age of 18 is invited; refreshments will be served. The restaurant is located at 395 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell. ![]() Team Caldwell R4C is a West Essex area running group, led by co-captains Jesus Navarro and Carolynn O’Brien. The team runs in racing events to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which supports blood cancer research in the battle against leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. The team is coached through the society's Team in Training and will be participating in the NJ Marathon and Long Branch Half Marathon on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Team Caldwell R4C prepares for their events through the services of Team in Training, the world’s largest charitable endurance sports training program catering to all fitness levels. They have trained over 600,000 nationwide athletes raising over $1.4 billion for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
