Caldwell Merchants Association Hosting "Black Maria Film Festival," Saturday, March 21, from 3:30 to 5pm; Caldwell Flowerland, located at 329 Bloomfield Avenue
CALDWELL, NJ - This weekend, the Caldwell Merchants Association will be hosting the "Black Maria Film Festival," which honors Thomas Edison’s late 19th-century film Black Maria Studio in West Orange. The studio, built in 1893, is considered America’s first movie production studio.
For 34 years, the festival has showcased the most recent winners of short and international documentary films. A festival spokesperson will be on hand to provide insightful commentary on the films shown. Additionally, diners who present a festival admission ticket will receive a 20% dining discount for after the show.
The event will take place on Saturday, March 21, from 3:30 to 5pm. The films will be presented at Caldwell's architectural landmark, Caldwell Flowerland, located at 329 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell.
