DiVincenzo, Jr. invites all senior citizen resident artists to participate in the 2014 Essex County Senior Citizens Juried Art Show and Exhibition. Both professional and non-professional seniors, at least 60-years old, are welcome to submit their artwork, for free, on Thursday, Aug. 7, to the Essex County Hospital Center. The center is located at 204 Grove Avenue, Cedar Grove. Artwork Submission Information All entries must be delivered on Thursday, Aug. 7, between 10am and 12pm, to the Essex County Hospital Center. Exhibit Information All of the artwork will be exhibited from Friday, Aug. 8, to Tuesday, Sept. 2 at the hospital center. The center will be open for viewing from 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 7pm. The center is located at 621 Eagle Rock Avenue, Roseland. The class is geared for adults. This all-levels yoga series will focus on alignment, flow and warmth, followed by a restorative pose to unwind the body and mind for bed. Participants should dress comfortably and bring their own mat. Cost Cost for all four sessions is $40. Published 3:42pm ![]() ROSELAND, NJ - During August, the Essex County Environmental Center is offering a “Bike Right - Learn to Ride” class on two Saturdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Students can choose one of the two classes to attend. The center is located at 621 Eagle Rock Avenue, Roseland. The two-hour class is for children ages five and older and is geared towards making riding a bike easier for children. The class will be taught by TransOptions Bike Right for Kids organization which teaches children the easy way to learn to ride by using a "balance first" method. Parents help to get their children rolling while the child does most of the work. The children will learn the basics of balancing, starting, stopping, and steering a bike, as well as proper helmet fit and adjustment. Participants need to bring a helmet and a bike (without training wheels) in good working order. Cost Cost is $7 per child. Advance registration is required - call 973-228-8776. Meet in Garibaldi Hall and in the event of rain, this program will be rescheduled. Schedule Saturdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

The center is located at 621 Eagle Rock Avenue, Roseland. The first class will be geared for children age two to three and the second for children age four to six. Participants in both classes will stroll through the wooded wetland and explore the wonders of the season. Classes are held rain or shine unless there are thunderstorms or heavy downpours; participants should wear walking shoes or sneakers. Cost Cost is $7 per child.
