West Caldwell Library Presents Tenor Salvatore Chiarelli Performing "Due Terre, Un Cuore;" Sunday, June 7; 2pm; 30 Clinton Road, West Caldwell
WEST CALDWELL, NJ - This weekend, the West Caldwell Public Library will be presenting a concert titled “Due Terre, Un Cuore” (Two Countries, One Heart) featuring award-winning tenor Salvatore Chiarelli. The program will feature popular, traditional and classical Italian pieces as well as Italian opera; Chiarelli will be accompanied by concert pianist Ishmael Wallace. The free event takes place on Sunday, June 7 at 2pm in the Community Room of the library, located at 30 Clinton Road, West Caldwell.
A native of New York City, Chiarelli was vocally trained in both Italy and New York City for the opera stage. He has performed as a soloist in productions in both North America and Europe. In 2006, Chiarelli recorded his first CD entitled “Due Terre, Un Cuore”, which include fifteen tracks of opera, Neapolitan songs, and musical theater. He has been a finalist for several regional vocal competitions throughout the United States and has been the recipient of several distinguished artist awards for his performances. Chiarelli has a wide singing range, sings in seven languages, in many different styles and genre of music. In addition, he has sung as a church soloist in Manhattan and the N.Y. Metro area for over fourteen years.
While featuring Italian traditional and operatic pieces, Italian-American love ballads will also be included. The program is expected to include:
