Tonight, Fairfield Police Chief Anthony Manna announced the arrest of three persons charged with fraud which resulted in over $1 million in theft. The five-month investigation was conducted by Fairfield Detective Sergeant Jeffrey Didyk and Fairfield Detective Steven D’Argenio who worked along side the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. SUSPECTS On Wednesday, Fairfield police executed search warrants at two Cedar Grove residences and at the deli in West Caldwell. DeComa and Soriano were arrested immediately after the search warrants were executed. Today, Becker surrendered herself to Fairfield Police. FIVE-MONTH INVESTIGATION October 2018 through August, 2020

West Caldwell Police Chief Dennis Capriglione announced tonight that two persons were in custody in connection with the suspicious persons investigation reported early this morning. According to police, West Caldwell officers immediately responded and located two males who were seen walking between homes on Westover Avenue and brought them to headquarters for questioning. During the questioning, another report came in that two males were earlier seen on camera footage attempting to break into a parked car at a residence on Woodrow Place. Police responded and viewed the footage and confirmed that the persons on tape attempting a car burglary matched the two males currently being questioned. In Custody

Agents reportedly found more than 1,000 items depicting the sexual abuse and exploitation of children. Ethan Weiner was charged with second degree endangering the welfare of a child During the search Ethan's brother Adam, 32, was charged with possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property.
