Published 5:20pm ![]() VERONA, NJ - On Saturday, July 25, David Siclari, 47, of Verona, was arrested after an Essex County Grand Jury returned a 27-count indictment against him which charged him with committing multiple sexual acts on various occasions against a child. Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced the arrest today and detailed that her office believes that the sexual assaults occurred between December 2008 and August 2014 in both Essex and Cape May Counties. According to Murray, Siclari worked for the Roseland School District in a "Non-teaching" capacity. Sources tell West Essex Now that Siclari was employed as the Senior Custodian at Noecker and was since placed on leave, as determined at the last Board of Education meeting in July. The Prosecutor's Office has informed WEN that NONE of the incidents occurred on school grounds. Investigation The criminal investigation is being handled by Assistant Prosecutor Kelly Sandler. Siclari's case is a joint investigation between the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Verona Police Department. Bail Siclari is currently out of custody on a $125,000 bail. |
