Roseland Green Board of Directors endorse Councilwoman Jean Perrotti, and challenger Marcelino “Moose” Trillo in the Roseland municipal elections
October 23, 2019
Dear Residents of Roseland,
This year, the Roseland Green Board of Directors endorse Councilwoman Jean Perrotti, and challenger Marcelino “Moose” Trillo in the Roseland municipal elections.
Councilwoman Perrotti was fiscally responsible and worked hard to have a very low .5% municipal tax increase this year and promises to give the same effort for next year’s budget. She expanded community outreach including updating the municipal website and TV station. She also put forth a fine effort regarding the concert in the park series and expanded the family picnic with additional food and games. Working on updating our
infrastructures, playgrounds, tennis courts and water lines were also overseen by Councilwoman Perrotti; and we thank her for her hard work and love for this borough.
Marcelino “Moose” Trillo brings a vast array of experience to the table involving our children and worthwhile organizational involvement. He is a board member of the NJ Charter School Association and has been teaching at the same school since the year 2000. He currently occupies the position of Vice Principal at Robert Treat Academy and coaches multiple sports including baseball, soccer, and basketball. He has 3 children in Noecker School and has lived amongst us for 13 years. Mr. Trillo also takes time out to be involved with Roseland Cub Scouts Pack 801. He has told us that, “I want to give back to this community that we love and set a positive example for my children.” We admire that.
Lastly, we want to thank ALL the candidates who are willing to give to their community. Taking time out and giving your efforts to your town is worthy of our respect as the majority of residents reap what you selflessly sow.
We haven’t mentioned anything about “party” thus far. We believe this and ALL elections from the municipal to the federal levels are about PEOPLE. We are choosing 2 competent, worthwhile people whose attributes far exceed the color of their ties. Unless we start seeking out our commonalities and truly internalize the word “Compromise,” the world we leave behind to our children will suffer. We believe and choose to ignore blue
vs. red and see this process as a captivating hue of purple……
Good luck to all the candidates!
The Roseland Green Board of Directors
