At 4:23am Wednesday, the National Weather Service re-issued a Winter Storm Watch for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The Advisory is expected to be in effect from 7pm Wednesday afternoon until 7pm Thursday morning.

"The Winter Storm Watch is in effect
from Wednesday evening through Thursday evening
for Northern New London County Connecticut, Passaic and
western portions of Bergen and Essex Counties, New Jersey.
Tuesday evening Snow, Sleet and Freezing Rain
will be topped with Heavy Snow Wednesday night into Thursday.
Snow accumulation of around 2 inches Tuesday evening,
along with a trace of Ice, will be added to by
3 to 6 inches of Heavy Snow Wednesday night into Thursday.
The Rain will change to Snow and Sleet Wednesday evening.
It will then change to all Snow and then should
taper off late Thursday afternoon into evening.
Snow covered surfaces, coated with ice,
will make traveling difficult at times.
