At 4:01am Tuesday, the National Weather Service re-issued a Winter Weather Advisory for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The Advisory is expected to be in effect from 3pm Tuesday afternoon until 2am Wednesday morning.
"New York City, Nassau and Western Suffolk County,
as well as Union, Essex and Hudson Counties
will experience Snow, Sleet and Freezing Rain from
Tuesday afternoon through early Wednesday morning.
Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches,
along with a tenth of an inch of Ice is forecast.
Snow will develop late Tuesday afternoon,
then mix with Sleet and Freezing Rain Tuesday evening before
changing to Freezing Rain by midnight and then to plain Rain overnight.
Snow covered surfaces, coated with Ice,
will make traveling difficult at times.
Be prepared for slippery roads, limited visibilities,
