At 4:18am Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The Advisory is expected to be in effect from 6am Friday to 2am Saturday morning.
West Essex is forecast to receive 4.4" to 5" Snow.
"Starting with the Friday morning commute and continuing through Friday evening, New York City, Northeast New Jersey,
the Lower Hudson Valley, Southern Connecticut and Long Island are
expected to receive 2 to 4 inches of Snow, with locally higher amounts.
Hazardous travel conditions will exist due to
reduced Visibilities and snow covered roads.
Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities,
