The class is geared for adults. Students will be taught the yogic practice of Tapas which uses heat to burn away impurities. Just like a diamond emerges from coal with the right amount of heat and pressure, people can be, feel, and radiate their "inner-diamondness" when they melt away all that covers them. This is not a hot yoga class, but a class in which participants will heat the body through asana and use other yogic practices, including journaling.
Participants should be able to get up and down from the floor easily; they are asked to dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat. Part of the class will be outside rain or shine, including a fire ceremony, weather permitting.
Cost is $25 per person.
Advance registration is required - call: 973-228-8776.
