![]() NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - The family of Doris Whittemore Dusinberre, 97, has announced that on Friday she passed away peacefully at home. Her family and friends are deeply saddened by their loss and the community will mourn her absence. Born in Ridgewood to Rexford Byron and Florence Kemp Whittemore, Doris lived in the Caldwells since 1949 before moving to North Caldwell in 1967. After attending the NJ College for Women, Doris in 1963 purchased Mitchell & McKenna, a Caldwell real estate company which she ran until her retirement in 1987. Doris became well-known in the community as President of the West Essex Multiple Listing System; she was president of the West Essex Board of Realtors twice and also named "Realtor of the Year" on two occasions. Doris joined the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell in 1950 and later became an Elder, a life member of Women's Fellowship and a Trustee of the Newark Presbytery. As a longtime member of the Building and Grounds Committee, she was instrumental in getting the church an elevator for handicapped accessibility.
