To date, this is the largest Quick Draw prize ever won. According to Mascera, he is a Sunday football regular at Murphy's Tavern and has enjoyed playing the Quick Draw game since its launch in July. The gambling method is a keno-style game that electronically draws and displays the winning numbers on a television screen; drawings are held every five minutes. Quick Draw allows players to place bets from $1 to $10 on winning numbers and prizes can range from $1 up to $1 million depending on the purchase amount. Players then choose one to ten spots out of a matrix of 80. Mascera explained that he purchased his ticket for ten consecutive draws and then hand selected the same seven spots that he played for each drawing and wagered $10 per draw. According to NJ Lottery, when a player matches seven spots, they win a $2,500 prize. Because Mascera wagered $10 per draw his prize was multiplied, making his win $25,000 which is to date, the largest Quick Draw ticket ever won. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the numbers come up. The Quick Draw games are installed in specifically chosen retail locations - such as bars, bowling alleys, and restaurants - with the idea being that players stay and play for a period of time while they socialize with friends. We are excited about our first Mascera expressed that after he realized that he had won, he bought a round of drinks for the entire bar filled with approximately 100 patrons, so they could all celebrate his good fortune.
