Published 6:10am ![]() ROSELAND, NJ - The paving portion of Eagle Rock Avenue, Roseland, is expected to continue Tuesday night. The Essex County Department of Public Works has completed the milling phase and will now begin re-paving beginning at Cortlandt Street and then workers will head east up the avenue.
The improvements will take place from 7pm until 6am the following morning, weather permitting, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Each night the roadway in that area will be closed and traffic will be detoured so drivers should avoid the area if possible. Anyone living within the construction area who needs access should stop and talk to the police officers stationed at the major intersections, tell them where they live and police will direct them around the closures. It had no collar or tags on and the gender was not known. Anyone with information about the dog should contact the North Caldwell Police at 973-226-0800.

Published 8:12am Updated 7:22pm Tuesday Pepper, the eight-months-old puppy that was found on Monday, has been reunited with his owners. He apparently had crawled under the fence early that morning and got out from his West Caldwell back yard. The owners said they were very grateful to the early morning jogger who found him and expressed their appreciation of everyone who had shared his photo. Pepper has been under the watchful care of the Wayne Animal Shelter for the past two days. ![]() WEST CALDWELL, NJ - This little dog was found early Monday morning by a jogger who came upon it at the corner of Park Avenue and Sylvan Way in West Caldwell.
